Information for Parents and Guardians

What TeamALA is, what we collect about your child, and how we protect young people.

  • Version 1.0
  • Effective October 29, 2026
  • For: Parents and guardians

What TeamALA is

TeamALA is a free tool that Roblox and Discord communities use to:

  • (a) manage their staff and roles;
  • (b) make short links and a community page; and
  • (c) check people who want to join.

It is for people aged 13 or over. Running a community, holding Leadership or screening applicants is for adults only.

What we collect about your child

Your child signs in with their Roblox or Discord account. We keep:

  • (a) their Roblox or Discord user ID and name;
  • (b) the fact that they are 13 or over (never their birth date);
  • (c) the communities they choose to join, and their roles there; and
  • (d) a record of what they do in those communities' tools.

We never ask for their password, email address, birth date, real name, school or location. We show no advertising, and we sell nothing.

How we protect young people

  • (a) There are no public profiles and no direct messages between users.
  • (b) Our bot messages someone only if they turned that on.
  • (c) Nobody gets a role in a community without pressing Join, and they can leave at any time.
  • (d) Communities can check applicants against safety records, to keep known abusers out.
  • (e) Our Child Safety Policy (teamala.org/legal/child-safety) explains more.

If your child is under 13

TeamALA is not for children under 13. If your child has an account, email privacy@teamala.org with their Roblox or Discord username, and we will delete it as soon as we can identify the account.

Your choices

You can ask us questions, see what we hold about your child, or ask us to delete their account, at privacy@teamala.org. For a teenager, we involve them too. To report a safety concern, use teamala.org/report. If a child is in danger, call your local emergency services.
